Blood Diamond

This week (october 2007) will be shown to the cinema the film "Blood Diamond". This film is produced a very famous actor, Leonardo di Caprio.
The film is about the mining of diamond in Africa which are used to finance conflicts (money and war). the film is located in Sierra Leone, a country involved in a Civli War sicne years. The action takes place in the 90's. So, a diamond smuggler of South Africa and a local fisherman are forced by a rebel army to work in the diamonds fields. The RUF (revolucionary united front) forced fisherman's son to entry on the rebel army. The story contiues, but if I write the continuation it's not so impactant. This film is very good, and I enjoyed a lot.

The Film

the film I've watched is called "Small time crooks", and it's about a man, Ray, and his friends who want to lead an old restaurant to stole a bank located near thier's leaded restaurant. They will open a tunel under the gronund to stole the bank, but meanwhile, Ray's woman sold biscuits in the restaruant. Ray's woman biscuits are very well known in the town and everybody wants to buy them. So Ray and his friends become rich, but because of the biscuits. I cannot explain any more because I haven't finished the film yet, so, if you want to konw the end, watch the film!!!!

Summer is comming!!

The summer is comming, and everbody is thinking which is the best place to go to holiday. In my opinion, the best place to spend a great holiday is... Tunisia. Tunisia is located near the Mediterranean sea. It is bordered by Algeria to the west and Libya to the southeast. It is the northernmost African country and the smallest of the nations situated along the Atlas mountain range.
Although is in Afica, and is an Islamic country, it's a very developed conuntry (women don't have to wear veil). Maybe, this year, we will go there because of the end of Batxillerat. Some people desagree to go there, because they think is't a dangerous country. This page will show you that you are wrong:

A fantastic film

Today I talk about Death Proof,another of my favourite film. This film was directed by Quentin Tarantino, he directed also the excellent films like Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs (I made an entry taliking about this film last term). I enjoy this film and this director because I think his films are very particulary and unpredictable. Moreover his films has something special, that made them a single film. I saw the film in Figueres with my friends and we became surprised because we thought that the film wasn't good. I hope that you see this fantastic film some time.

The London Eye

Sufing on the web, I found a notice of the London Eye. This monumental merry-go-round was opened on New Year's Eve 1999 to celebrate the Millennium. It's about 130 meters high, and from the top you can have a very good view of London, with all its monuments. For example, on a clear day you can see the Windsor Castle. the "eye" has 32 capsulets, each one for 25 people. It moves slowly, because that way you can enjoy the countryside.
